SPOTLIGHT ON AG-READERS
March is National Agriculture and Reading Months. To celebrate, we're holding the Spotlight on Ag Readers (SOAR) initiative!
Farmers, food processors and other agribusiness employers are invited to sign up now to spend 45 minutes bringing interactive fun and engaging stories to a K-5th grade classroom. You can expect:
Storytime: You’ll read an engaging National Foundation for Agriculture book that we provide.
Q&A: Answer student's questions about your background and the world of ag.
Hands-on activity: If time allows, help to lead an activity we provide that relates to the story.
Reading slots are sorted by county first, then date. Select the location and time that work best for you. Feel free to sign up for more than one timeslot.

THIS YEAR'S BOOKS
Volunteer readers can click on either book cover below to hear a reading of the story. This year's books are:
3rd - 5th grade
K - 2nd grade
Tales of the Dairy Godmother-Chuck's Ice Cream Wish
The Tree Farmer
Together, we’re connecting agribusiness professionals with local elementary classrooms to teach students about agriculture and its impact on their lives. Educators will also receive a copy of the book and students will receive an Ag Mag on the topic to take home!
